If you have landed here, I imagine you are interested in wrapping your head around Arduino. I was too.
I knew I could make useful things with Arduino, but I quickly realized that knowing some programming and electronics basics was going to be essential. I was slightly familiar with programming, but understanding how the software and the hardware meshed was completely new to me.
Maybe you are new to programming, maybe you are new to electronics, maybe you are new to both – either way you might be interested in the some of the courses I have put together. Best of luck in your adventures.
Arduino Short Course for Absolute Beginners
A free (or premium) two-week video and written primer on the basics and control of Arduino.
”Awesome, awesome, awesome! You were the only person that explained things such as the if statement and array in such a manner that I could understand. Thanks!” - AJ
“Just started your course using a Sparkfun kit my wife gave me for Christmas. I learn best when repeating concepts from differing perspectives…I think your “on your own exercises” are a really effective enhancement. Thanks for all your work on this.” -Jeff

Everything from the Short Course plus a closer look at digital and analog operations, more control functions, and matrix operations.
“This is the clearest explanation of nested looping functions and multi-dimensional arrays that I have seen yet. I’m working on a similar set of functions to control servos and up until now I have been a little lost. Thanks!” - Christopher
“I watched your video[s] and was able to follow along very well. Since I am just starting to learn about Arduino’s and programming I felt it might be above me. Not so, I was able to grasps the concept…not bad for an old guy of 65.” – Ken
